Here it's constantly around 20 degrees with some almost summery days. I've been in Kefalonia and I think it's a great choice. This island is rather underestimated for some reason but I truly believe it has the most beautiful beaches of all the Greek islands. The people are rather "mental", though (I mean more than the average Greek mental) and beware of the taxi drivers, they might kill you
I, on the other hand, was planning to visit Oslo during August, before I move to some Greek island.
wow thank you for all this info man. Sounds great..! Im a dangerous taxi driver my self so that would be ok hahahahah.. i drive like crazy. Been on Corfu once and it was beautifully.. but now i want something new.. and Kefalonia looks great i just love greece so much.. i wont stop support Greece! What are you going to do in Oslo?
Weird as it may sound, I intend to come there with my wife for holiday. As I told you, I have a Greek friend who lives there with his family, so it will be a nice opportunity to see them as well. And Norway has beautiful landscapes and waterscapes which I would love to see and photograph.
great idea.. i must say.. oslo is not the most beautiful city in the world.. but take your car and drive some hours and you will find pearls!! In my favorite magazin Natur&Foto there is a guide to the best places in Norway. What i can see here:
there is a place near Oslo called Østenssjøvannet, lake, beautiful place with many birds and animals + red listed rare ones!
Another one is Katnosa, wilderness, north Oslo. Try to find Spålen [link] beautiful place.. there is possible to rent canoe.
With some hours driving you find Hvaler.. very uniqe place.
i dont know how much time you have.. but ask me if you want some answers! I got tons of ideas. Oslo is full of possibles too. [link] look at this video btw.. known photographer who did it. I like it very much
Thank you so much Kay, that was really helpful and informative. It's not 100% sure yet if we'll be there this summer but we will at some point (hopefully during this year). Of course, if you have any questions or if you want any further guidance regarding Kefalonia feel free to ask.
